Take a "chance" now on delighting that special child in your life while encouraging interest in preservation for future generations. The Playhouse will be awarded at a drawing on December 6, 2009 (just in time for Christmas) during this year's Historic Home Tour.

History at Play is an innovative program which recreates the historic buildings of Lewiston as a Children's Playhouse. "History at Play" raises awareness and funds for historic preservations and education.

This year's History at Play is the historic Short House, located at 525 Center Street, and built in 1818 by Judge William Hotchkiss. The Playhouse depicts the charming Greek Revivial details of the Short House short house is 11 x 7 in scale. The Playhouse has been designed and built for the outdoors.
